“What Better Place Than Here, What Better Time Than Now” —Zack de la Rocha

In 2016, my life took an unexpected turn. I was diagnosed with multiple autoimmune disorders—conditions that left me physically sidelined and overwhelmed. But while my body slowed down, my mind ignited. I needed purpose, and I found it in food—not just eating it, but understanding it.

Where does it come from? Who grows it? Why is it making people sick instead of well? I started digging. The more I learned, the more I realized something was deeply broken in our food system. Finding truly nutrient-dense food, grown without chemicals or GMOs, felt impossible—especially at a fair price. Local options were scarce, and corporate interests were choking the integrity out of agriculture.

At the time, I lived in Missouri. I had a steady corporate job and a life of relative comfort. But my diagnosis changed everything. I left the job, left my comfort zone, and moved to Colorado. The early days in Colorado Springs were rough—financially and emotionally. But I knew there was no going back. The vision was clear: build something better from the ground up.

In 2020, we bought a small plot of raw land in Walsenburg, Colorado. That’s where the real journey began. The very first thing I built was a humble 20-by-20 greenhouse. With nothing but that structure, a mission, and the fire in my gut, I began building—literally. Every raised bed and structure was crafted with my own hands, with occasional help from family when they could.

As we laid the physical foundation, I deepened my agricultural knowledge. I enrolled in a two-year online program through the Demeter biodynamic certification path. I supplemented that with self-led research in Korean Natural Farming and regenerative practices. What emerged was a hybrid, holistic approach tailored to our values and land.

For two full years, we remained in incubation mode—growing, testing, learning. No sales, just trials. We worked with local seed suppliers, studied crop performance, and honed our processes. Finally, in early 2025, Rage Against Industrial Agriculture was born.

The name wasn’t just clever—it was a statement. Echoing the ethos of Rage Against the Machine, I saw the same oppressive dynamics in agriculture: corporate monopolies, exploitation of land and labor. It was clear: this wasn’t just farming. It was resistance.

Today, we grow nutrient-dense, chemical-free, GMO-free food using organic heirloom seeds. We build our own compost and partner with Elements Compost in Salida, CO for the rest. Every decision—from the soil to the seed—is deliberate and grounded in sustainability and justice.

We are proud partners with Valley Roots Food Hub, a wholesaler that distributes regenerative, locally grown food throughout the state of Colorado. Their entire staff is fully committed to sustainability and regenerative agriculture. Whether you're a restaurant, CSA customer, or retail shopper, Valley Roots offers an easy, ethical way to access clean food. We’re honored to be one of their local suppliers.

But Rage Against Industrial Agriculture is more than food. We are here to empower. We aim to mentor young farmers, support Native land-back efforts, and create space for those historically shut out of food equity. We are still small, still growing—but we are relentless. We are builders, disruptors, and dreamers.

Our Mission is to produce high-quality, nutrient-dense, chemical-free food, with a focus on serving underserved and disadvantaged populations. We are committed to transforming the food system by challenging industrial agriculture and educating communities about its harmful impacts on human health, animal welfare, and the planet.

Our Vision is to expand the reach of regenerative agriculture by increasing the number of farms through partnerships, internships, and scholarships. We aim to equip the next generation with the tools—land, capital, knowledge, and mentorship—they need to thrive.

Our Promise is to uphold the highest standards of regenerative farming. We never use chemicals, pesticides, herbicides, or GMOs. We grow only from certified organic and heirloom seeds, and we prioritize food security, seed sovereignty, nutrition, and education—especially within marginalized communities.

This is your invitation. Whether you're a farmer, a neighbor, or someone who believes in food justice—we want to partner with you. This isn't just about growing lettuce; it's about reclaiming sovereignty. It’s about resisting a system that has stolen health, land, and hope.

We’re here. We’re building. And we’re not backing down.

Let’s rage.
